A Very Short Overview
Just as your regular rummy game download, this too is a draw and discard one. Your objective is to make a meld (group of cards valid for the game) by improving the hand you got. In order to make this meld, you have to pick and discard cards among the ones that you have been dealt with.
The idea is to make a valid combination using the cards you have received.
How to Play 10 Card Rummy
To begin with, as the name suggests, 10 cards are initially dealt to each player. Next, the dealer selects a wildcard randomly. The remaining cards are placed on the table face down. Finally, the dealer takes the topmost card and places it face up. This becomes the discard pile.
The Variants of 10 Card Rummy

Pool Rummy
101 and 210 pool Rummy are the most common variations. Pool Rummy is also called Syndicate. The elimination points for this variant are predetermined and players leave the game on reaching the respective point.

Tactics That Will Help You Win the Game
Card games are unpredictable and there is hardly any way to tell if you will get a favourable card or an unfavourable one. However, this does not mean there are no tactics to make sure that you win. If a person is attentive and clever, he might win the round not only on account of luck but also because of his smartness. Similarly, some tips can help you win 10 card Rummy. Let us quickly take a glance at them:
Observe
Whenever playing Rummy, observing your opponents is the key to success. Keep an eye on the cards he is discarding. This will give you an idea about the group he is trying to make. And to prevent him from doing so, hold on to the cards of the same group. This will delay his meld and might give you the chance to win.
Avoid Dropping
When you drop, you lose on your points. Therefore, it is wise not to drop unless you absolutely need it or have an almost ready meld.
Practice
Practising Rummy makes you better. One cannot be a good rummy player only by reading rules. It requires practice as you must train your mind to multitask and register the cards your opponents are discarding. You need not always wait for friends or family to join you. You can simply practice on an online gaming platform.
With these pointers in mind, you can win several games easily. It is a very easy variation and can be enjoyed by both beginners and pros. Unlike 13 card Rummy, you need not spend a lot of time in a single round. This quick version can be a relief between work pressure or when you are in a hurry.
